A very unusual and clearly quality lamp. Ceramic cream lamp base with gorgeous moulded flower detail on the front and rear. Sits on a very solid and attractive metal brass base. The shade is gold and sets off the lamp, matching the base. This is likely 1970s 1980s. The moulded flowers are lilies. A very attractive piece which is also quite understated so will sit back in a room if you don't want it to be centre of attention, but will also gladly hold centre stage if you so wish. The condition is very good for a vintage item. From what I can tell of the cream white table lamp base, there is very little marking, and one tiny chip to the one flower petal at top left - but you don't notice this unless you run your finger along the moulding. The attractive brass base has minor marking commensurate with age. The shade has been dusted but there are markings and scuffs on it. It is perfectly usable and presentable as is, but I guess of anything it is the shade that might need some tlc or replacement (but this is not essential). The wiring is dated and the lamp is working. It is not professionally tested though and the plug is loose and should be replaced. I am afraid I have lost dexterity in my fingers and so am unable to do this. But the lamp does work! A truly lovely lamp which can definitely be appreciated by someone with fine taste.
