Beautiful set of four substantial and beautifully made kitchen or dining chairs. Exuding a distinctive Southern European charm, these chairs effortlessly blend style, quality, and durability, making them a statement addition to any home.
I cannot identify the wood, suffice to say it is a quality hardwood with beautiful carved features. The frames are well-preserved and sturdy with just a few surface marks commensurate with age. Mid-sheen finish.
The leather work is top-quality thick leather, some wear in places to the stitching but they remain, for the age, in a very well-preserved condition. There is a wear mark to the top centre of one of them and a split underneath to one of them that does not affect the leather on the surface, just a section underneath.
The leather is secured in place by the beautiful age-worn effect large metal studs, black with a deliberate tint of surface rust.
Likely crafted in the 1980s or later, these chairs are a fine example of timeless design that pairs well with both traditional and modern interiors.
