A delightful small oak coffee table. Perfect as a side table or end table too. Even a stool as it is quite sturdy! Likely from the earlier part of the 1900s. Lovely solid oak frame, and then an oak veneer on board top. The top has been refurbed, by sanding the top veneer down, oiling it, and leaving it a contrasting colour to the rest of the table. Very attractive and ready to be used, VGC.
I do love these antique vintage accent pieces which are attractive and also hugely functional. Who doesn't have space for an extra table or stool. A small size approx 40/45cm sq so can be slotted into most rooms. Could be there for books, feet, drinks lamps, vases etc.
In very good vintage condition. Obviously there are some signs of wear, but all commensurate with age. The top is newly sanded and oiled so in good condition. The oiled top should seal the wood and offer some protection to it. You can see the board under the sanded veneer which gives the edges a slightly different look.
