This is a simply delightful and cute 1920s fire screen. The frame is made of oak, with cute feet and a delightful metal handle. The screen frame has a tough looking glass finish that is very well preserved.
What a beautiful decorative front. It is glazed and has the two delightful little that children in their clogs. I will try and describe how the decoration seems to be put together. The two children are made out of what looks like different cut out pieces of a coloured decorative reflective material of some sort. This seems to have been applied to the glass and then behind it a black thin what seems to be painted film. The decorative children are in excellent condition and there are just a few minor blemishes behind the glass to the black which actually just really adds some vintage charm an authenticity to the piece.
This is such a lovely screen. Something off it's time and the cute for children are always a joy to look at
Add some vintage character and charm to your fireplace and cover up that ugly old black sooty hole!
