Delightful vintage watercolour in vertical portrait wooden vintage frame - quality wooden vintage frame with portrait water colour 62cm 34cm

This is a wonderful vintage wooden frame, currently hanging portrait, displaying a lovely romantic water colour of a river scene. The frame is in really good vintage condition and is glazed. It may be early 1900s to mid century/ The painting is signed by L Cotes and is a delightful depiction of a water scene.

The painting is in very good condition with just minor spotting, and some undulation - which will probably disappear when hung in a warm room. The trees and background is particularly well painted, really delicate brush strikes. The mount is a cream white thick card which has a few marks on it - it could be displayed as is. The frame needs a good wipe over. It has a chipped bottom right corner, but it is hardly noticeable, and a few other signs of wear - but for its age it is in great condition.

The back has been replaced at some time and is in good condition, and it can be hung as is. The glass is intact.

Overall a lovely rectangular frame which can be reused as required or can be displayed as is with the delightful water colour.
