Delightful original townscape oil - likely European town - signed original artwork - 1980s and framed professionally

A wonderful 1980s original oil painting framed in a super deep vintage frame. All in excellent condition and a wonderful depiction of a townscape. Looking at the buildings in the painting, this is most likely a European town. Possibly a French one. The artist has signed the painting, but unfortunately no clues as to where it might be. Frame and painting are in VGC.

The painting is rather delightful - wonderful innocent capture of the buildings and square, and a almost modernist take on a true and leaves in the foreground. Make the painting a little more playful than it otherwise would have been - blue dots for leaves?!? Quite possibly the artist's signature finish?

A very accomplished painting and in a really attractive multi faceted vintage frame. Ready to hang. Only minor marks and scuffs on the picture and frame - painted in 1986 and no doubt displayed in a couple of places since then, this is no wonder.
