These mirrors were popular in the 1960’s with the very much ‘vintage’ look for the time.
It is made of plaster moulded around a wire frame.
The finish is original. Plaster is what it is, a delicate compound so the finish is prone to chipping when the white comes through. So, there are areas where someone has stained over the small blemishes.
However, it is a beautifully age-worn look and the flaws merely add to the genuine vintage appearance. Original gold and cream finish. The cream has a crackle effect.
It has the original convex glass. There is spotting to the glass which adds to the authenticity but maybe not your kettle of fish if age-worn shabby chic not your thing.
There is an eyelet and a chain to the back, depending on your preference as the chain is long and visible when hung.
