This is an absolute classic from the 1970s.
It is stamped DINETTE underneath.
It is a very good quality, many of these tables from the 50s to the 70s are very poorly constructed this however is very well made.
Glad to say that the formica top is currently in excellent condition, there will be tiny marks that you can see close up to the surface, however for something 50 years old it is incredibly well preserved condition with no chips to the formica.
The formica is stuck to a thick boarded top surface. This gives the table very good weight and feel of quality.
The the wooden legs are bolted to the top and are easily removed should access ever be a problem.
You'll see on two of them that the original painted finish has worn down to the wood. Now I actually think it looks really good like that because of the excellent condition of the top it's good to see some wear on the legs, which gives it a real sense of authenticity and character. You may disagree and think I'm talking a load of old waffle and if so it would be very very easy to simply add a coat of white paint to cover up the wear on blemishes to the legs. I think at some point somebody has tried to previously touch it up and not done a very good job of it with whatever paint used worn or rubbed off.
I think this is an outstanding table and so 70s. It is unusual to find one with a top so well preserved I'm with the right chairs around it this would look absolutely amazing.
