A very distinctive deco standard lamp in an age worn condition. As you can see I am selling this wonderful lamp as I found it. It does need cleaning up, but it is intact. The turned wooden base and the distinctive wooden conical lower column are made of beech with a dark stain that has worn. You can maybe stain this, strip to the bare wood or paint.
The top part of the column is made of chrome and there is a small chrome ring in between the lower column and the base. The finish to this is very worn and oxidised. I have tried to rub a patch of it and sometimes with chrome that is enough for the shiny silver to come through, however with this all I have managed to do is achieve a dull rough silver. However, I still think that will look great and maybe a greater endeavour than my half-baked attempt would be more rewarding!.
Obviously, it will need to be rewired. It is a bit of a project, but you can get it finished to your own preferred taste. The actual structure is perfectly sound and I think it looks fantastic with such a distinctive art deco shape.
