Classic 70s Working Onyx and Gold Standard Lamp.
This is a stunning 1960s or 70s Onyx and gold metal standard lamp. It is in good working order and all the electrics look to be sound.
These sorts of lamps were ever so popular in the middle class homes of the 60s and the 70s.
As a large part of their makeup onyx, they are heavy and therefore they do stand well. A thick onyx base which has only one very minor chip which cannot really be seen by the naked eye.
There are then four pieces of turned onyx to the column interspersed with four brass fluted decorative sections with further turned decorations.
Get the right lamp shade for this and it will look absolutely stunning.
