An absolutely delightful 1970s Danish style coffee table. It may well be actually not just Danish style but Danish however I cannot verify it as there is no mark underneath.
It's just made of a hardwood. Possibly teak, that has been covered in a deep dark stain.
What sets this apart from many other coffee tables is that at some point the wooden edges of the tile top have been sanded down and the corners of the legs to expose the lighter wood underneath giving it a really interesting rustic and contemporary finish.
Also very handy because if you knock it or damage the finish it won't really notice!
It has 12 wonderful glazed tiles, very much synonymous with the 1970s. Some of them have some red staining that only really notices on close inspection.
This is a very interesting and attractive coffee table and the condition is very good.
It is as sturdy as the day it was made.
