This beautifully crafted hardwood magazine rack from the 1980s has a lovely rich, dark finish and polished, ultra-smooth top. Its sturdy construction makes it a really lovely solid piece. It is classically vintage in design, and provides storage underside in its 'basket' but also acts as a end table or coffee table. It is absolutely smashing condition, with only minor signs of wear and age. Super piece which will go well in many different living room styled areas.
Nowadays, we end up with so many bits in our living room - tablets, remotes, cables, adaptors, laptop, books, phones etc. Nevermind toys, newspapers and magazines like the good old days. These racks can be great for storing a number of these items out of sight. They are very practical for this purpose and of course the top flat table is also useful for a mug, drink or even as a lamp table.
Likely 1980s - made in a dark hardwood. It has some stamping underside showing this is a great quality item. It is good quality. Unfortunately can't say where it was made, but I do think it is British.
This particular piece has a few surface marks on the top, and of course on other areas like the feet too - all commensurate with age. The top is super smooth.
