The charm of this table is the natural stunning distressed age worn finish. The original finish has naturally deteriorated through wear over the years leaving this wonderful lived in look.
It is a late Victorian table and I think almost certainly European or possibly imported from the Far East, there is certainly an oriental likeness to it.
The table is constructed of pine, although I would have thought the corner decoration will be of a hardwood. Speaking of which the corner decoration to the left hand side of the back of the table is lost and there is a split to the one on the front top left which I have shown in the images.
There was originally a trim going around the base of which only the part to the rear remains, so to the front and the sides you can see the bare wood. Keep as is or of course you could just black it in.
As you can see the paint has worn over the years so please make sure you take a very good look at all of the images to satisfy yourself as to the condition of the table.
Importantly the table is stable.
This is a delightful age worn piece and is of such a size and height it is of practical use in so many places around the house.
