Canaletto Retro oil painting copy, framed, Veduta del Palazzo Ducale di Venezia very good copy (59cm x 49cm)

I wish I knew who the artist A.P. was. They have completed a wonderful copy of the famous Canaletto painting "Veduta del Palazzo Ducale di Venezia". They have done an oil on board, and then had it framed in a white wooden retro frame. Given the frame age, it looks like this was completed in the 1970s. It is really quite an exemplary copy of the original.

Measuring 59cm x 49cm this is a great framed painting. Yes it shows signs of age, it is uncanny and really moody and historic and very Italian! There are some chips, marks on the white wooden frame and what looks like a painted mount. The painting itself does have spotting which is noticeable, mostly on the sky in the painting. These 'blemishes' do give the painting a more vintage look and feel than its 50 years suggest. FYi - the string is currently broken.
