Bohemian Upholstered 3 fold, 4 piece, Victorian Room Divider / Vanity Screen - Chinoiserie type fabric FREE HAND Delivery

Perhaps a screen in need of refurbishment or perhaps a screen that can be left as is in a shabby chic (real shabbied) bohemian state. Gorgeously sumptuous vintage vanity screen or room divider left in its original condition of covered Chinoiserie type fabric with mythical birds, warriors and trees, vs a plain green material on the reverse. Would have been a remarkable piece in its unblemished state, as it still carries in quality and luxuriousness even with its less than perfect state.

A large screen with 3 folds, and 4 pieces. It is high enough to be a room divider or vanity screen (for the tall!). It folds up nice and neatly when not required. The wood and hinges are sound making this screen sound for another 100 years. You can see the woollen type padding fabric under the material in some places. Great to see how these antique screens were compiled.

As mentioned the fabric covering this screen is not in perfect state, you can see tears, rips and unravelling cotton on places, but what you can see of the front fabric is how wonderful the original material is. Deep green chinoserie fabric - mythical birds, treesm warriors - in may be silk as it certainly has a sheen to it in amongst the woven design. The binding/edging around the sides is in greens, golds and reds. The reverse fabric is a faded green.

If you are looking for a very authentic looking, bohemian come Oriental style screen / divider then this is a very good option for you. That is if you don't mind something looking very authentic, real and of its time - it certainly tells a story. Of course you always have the option of refurbishing it too - perhaps you are a whizz with textile refurb and can retain as much of the original fabric as you can - perhaps you may think of some clever way to use what remains and blend in something new. It is definitely worth some thought.

This will be delivered by hand by a proper furniture courier.
Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.
There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.
This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
