A beautiful hand restored painted standard lamp.
The lamp is from the early to mid-20th Century. It looks like it was rewired in the 1980s, and it works perfectly well.
We have painted onto an existing finish 3 coats of an Annie Sloan cream chalk paint.
It has then been hand painted….no transfer….in an artist’s gold acrylic.
It is then wire woolled to leave the contemporary shabby chic finish you can see if you look closely in the images.
It is then covered in a thin varnish.
To varnish we use a ‘Polyvine’ varnish.
This is a child, pet and food safe varnish.
We applied two coats of a ‘dead flat finish’ and a ‘satin finish’ to give the finish a sheen.
It is a very pretty lamp and with the right shade will look amazing.
It is 131 cm tall so about 20cm lower than a standard floor lamp.
The diameter of the base is a max 39 cm
