This is a beautifully restored early 20th century inlaid mahogany occasional chair.
Someone had spent an enormous amount of time and effort in restoring the beautiful mahogany frame. The original finish and grime etc have been washed away leaving a beautiful clean finish so you can admire the grain of the mahogany and the quality of the inlay. It has a natural polished finish. The actual chair is of superb quality with a wealth of beautiful decorative features and turnings. The condition of the frame is excellent.
Although the material is old I am not sure if it is original or not although it looks fantastic, To be honest bearing in mind the amount of time and effort that has gone into the actual frame this has just been tacked in around the edges so maybe someone just lost patience.
These small occasional chairs or so useful complementing dining chairs or just got it around the house in the bedroom hallway or wherever
