A top notch piece of beautifully constructed solid oak furniture with a quality tough finish that has kept it well preserved.
Boasts the original bevelled glass that is in very good condition.
This was originally then top to a 1920s oak sideboard. The bottom part that attached to the back of the sideboard has been cut down. Not a totally straight cut, so the bottom undulates slightly but when it is hung or sitting on a mantlepiece will not notice.
The two tiny pieces of moulding to the sides of the bottom piece of moulding are missing. There are some worm holes to the ply backing. These were redundant, but I treated them nevertheless, so no worries there.
Otherwise, as you can see in the images, the condition is very good. Not perfect, but nothing that screams out at you so make sure you take a good look at all of the images to check the condition.
Great as an over mantel but would look equally as good anywhere in the house in particular in a hallway.
