What a superb and stunning Victorian oak cabinet! Its slim design makes it perfect for hallways, yet it would look equally beautiful in any room of your home. Despite its narrow frame, this cabinet offers practical and useful storage, making it an excellent choice for spaces with limited room.
Key Features: Authentic Victorian Style: Crafted from oak with a traditional dark stain typical of the era, exuding timeless Victorian appeal. Unique Wavy Glass Panels: Five of the glass panels feature delightful curved "wavy" or "float" glass, adding character and an authentic period feel. There’s no indication that more than five panels were ever present. Elegant Design: Slim frame complemented by thin cabriole legs, giving the piece a refined and charming look. Functional Storage: Includes an under-shelf, perfect for displaying precious items, books, or decorative pieces. Locking Mechanism: The left-hand door features a working key and lock that also serves as the handle. The right-hand door retains its key (also doubling as a handle), but the lock is non-functional. Additionally, a 1970s cabinet catch is present but doesn’t work and will need replacing. Condition: The cabinet is in overall good condition, with its classic Victorian charm preserved. I did not originally notice but the top is solid oak but has had some hardboard applied to cover it. There is a tiny piece missing to the front right.
The back panel is a later addition, also made from hardboard, which does not detract from its overall appeal. This beautiful Victorian cabinet is both practical and stylish—a true treasure for lovers of vintage and antique furniture.
