Beautiful Vintage Tall Carved Mahogany Torchere / Plant Stand On Tripod Legs Acorn Decoration I know you see stunning claims all too often in listings for mediocre products. I think this really is. It is simply gorgeous and the quality of the build exceptional. The column is great lump of mahogany. Beautifully hand carved decoration of leaves with acorns nestled within. The finish has faded leaving a more organic, mellow and contemporary finish. The legs retain more of the original finish with lovely claw feet. One rattles a bit within the joint. However, you will see in the images that the tripod legs are all braced together because of this and therefore the stand is perfectly fit for purpose, the torchere is perfectly solid and stands well. The top is also a slightly different hue. It is more of a blacky finish from the patina on the top surface. I think what has happened is that the carved column has maybe been stripped. I love the almost mix and match of the finishes, it really adds character and the warmth of the exposed wood with the more original finishes to the top and the bottom show an almost then and now to it’s history.
