Beautiful Vintage Mahogany Victorian Upholstered Occasional Chair. Nursing Chair Pink Fabric.
This is an outstanding late Victorian upholstered chair.
It has been made to an exceptionally high quality from best mahogany. The frame is beautifully preserved and in excellent condition with just a few tiny marks that only really notice on close inspection.
It sits on four brass and porcelain castors.
It has clearly been restored at some point which will account for the excellent condition. Probably at the same time it was reupholstered. They spring and cushion mechanism is in excellent order and it's a very comfortable seat. The fabric is of excellent quality. On the whole the condition is again very good although there is a small brown mark to the right hand side and a tiny mark to the front right of the sitting surface. I have shown both of these blemishes in the images.
This is a beautiful occasional chair which would look great in any room in the house. May well have originally have been a nursing chair.
