A wonderfully classic teak retro table made by the British furniture maker, G Plan. Likely 1950s-60s. Influenced by the Danish design era. The tiled top is in excellent condition and is covered in wonderful yellow ochre hand made ceramic tiles. The wonderful shaped legs are a G Plan hallmark - I believe this table is similar to the Fresco style, albeit with tiled top. This is a super teak retro, late mid-century occasional table which is both functional (tile top for protection!) and incredibly attractive. This is authentic G Plan - originally part of a nest of tables, the smallest of three, and G Plan traditionally only labelled the underside of the smallest, bottom table. See the photo of the label!
Super retro lines and the golden coloured wood is wonderful. It is a quality table - very sturdy and just perfect for to place adjacent to a sofa or chair. Quality as you would expect from G Plan. Great also as a lamp table or plant stand. Super for a retro or mid-century themed decor, or for somewhere contemporary. That is the great thing about retro design is its versatility. Excellent retro addition in VGC for a room as a coffee table, side table, plant stand or occasional table - versatile and for use across the home. In excellent condition.
Simple geometric like design table - solid wood and quality. Still very sound. Few markings commensurate with age. Have stained and oiled. Have a look at the photos and you will see the table is ready to use.
