Antique Wooden Corner Shelf with Drawers – Repurposed Dressing Table End as wall shelf or counter top unit - plant stand, storage shelves

A beautifully characterful wooden corner shelf unit, believed to be salvaged from the ends of an antique dressing table or dresser. This unique piece combine small drawer storage with decorative vertical spindles and shaped backs, offering a charming blend of form and function. Crafted from solid wood (likely oak or stained pine) - it is very heavy - and dating from the early 1900s, these shelves feature turned finials, original brass-look handles, and a rich, aged patina. Each has two small drawers and a square top – perfect for bedside use, hallway styling, or as a quirky addition to a gallery wall. In great vintage condition.

The item had a nasty stain on it which I have removed with wire wool. I was tempted to oil it in Danish oil, or polish up, but having seen its current rustic finish I decided against it. This is a truly lovely corner shelf item and I though that someone who buys it will want to finish it off the way that they want to - leave as is, oil it, stain it, paint it ... options are endless.

As is, it is rustic and unfinished. I have been able to remove some of the staining, but for an item over 100yrs old there is still some minor staining visible on the flat surface above drawers - not very noticeable and quite frankly tells a story.

This has previously been wall mounted - you can see one screw hole on one of the sides. A heavy duty screw would be needed if you are wall mounting as it is heavy - great quality. You can always use wall plates too. And of course, this item is so very sturdy it could just sit on a counter top or sideboard. Once again endless options.

Structurally sound and full of vintage charm. Minor colour variation, wear, marks, and slight drawer looseness as expected from age – overall very good condition.
