This is a beautiful antique-style oak veneered bookcase. It is a very sturdy, well-made piece, constructed from composite wood with a genuine oak veneer.

Designed in the style of a 1920s bookcase, it has a classic look that gives the impression of an original stripped oak piece. Traditionally, these bookcases were stained in a dark colour, but over the last 20 or 30 years, many have been stripped back to reveal the natural oak beneath and then re-polished. This bookcase captures that authentic antique look while benefiting from modern construction, making it an excellent choice in near-mint condition.

It features two adjustable shelves, providing the perfect space for books or display. It originally came with two additional shelves, which will be included, but there are no supports for them. Presumably, they were not used, and a previous owner misplaced the supports. However, replacements can be easily sourced online, or simple screws can be used as an alternative for support. The adjustable shelves are well-positioned, allowing you to make full use of the space.

This is a very attractive bookcase of a practical size, with a generous depth that makes it ideal for storing larger books.

This will be delivered by hand by a proper furniture courier.
Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.
There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.
This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
