This antique mahogany stool, featuring an elegant tapestry seat and ornate carved details, is a beautiful vintage piece that exudes classic charm. While it shows signs of age and wear, it remains a sturdy, visually striking addition to any traditional or vintage-style décor.
The rich mahogany frame, with its deep, warm tones, enhances the stool’s antique appeal. The tapestry seat adds a soft touch and visual interest, though the fabric is worn, particularly in one corner where it has frayed.
The stool's carved details and fretwork accents showcase exceptional craftsmanship. The intricate fretwork on the frame and legs adds an open, delicate look, enhancing the overall design. Though three fretwork pieces are missing (with five remaining intact), I will include remnants of two of the missing pieces, which you may be able to repair or use creatively.
The remaining wood is well-preserved, boasting a beautiful aged patina that highlights its vintage character. Although the stool is a bit worn around the edges, it retains its bohemian charm and sturdy construction.
One of the stretchers underneath showed signs of woodworm, but I've thoroughly treated it for your peace of mind. This unique stool would make a striking addition to an entryway, offering both functionality and a touch of classic elegance.
