Antique floral tapestry, looks to be late Victorian or early 20th century.
It is in a glazed, gilt wood frame which is 3 cm deep. It also has an unusual 1 cm thick wood panel on the back with an extra 2 cm wood joist on that. Looks like it might have come from a small table! Unsure why it required something this thick and strong but it looks interesting.
The tapestry is in poor condition, a dark patina, holes on the edges and numerous stains. The frame and wood back are in good condition with some chips, dirt and wear marks.
However, it looks very impressive. May have been part of a fire guard?
