This exquisite tureen by Burgess & Leigh showcases the iconic Poppy design in a stunning brown and gold palette. Crafted with the brand’s renowned attention to detail, the piece combines classic English craftsmanship with timeless elegance. The intricate poppy motif, delicately hand-applied, features rich brown tones accented with luxurious gold detailing, making it a striking centerpiece for any dining table or display. Perfect for serving soups, stews, rice, salads or as a decorative item, this vintage tureen captures the beauty and charm of traditional ceramics. A must-have for collectors and those who appreciate fine tableware. It is in great condition - bear in mind this is over 100 years old! Minor signs of wear all commensurate with age, crazing in places, odd paint marks as was want with the age/era, some gilt rubbed off, one minor chip underside of the inner rim of the base. And amazingly the company still operates today under the name of Burleigh and I believe is owned by Denby now?1 Please see photos and video.
