A beautiful Edwardian Arts and Crafts oak wall shelf, dating from around the 1910s, showcasing the fine craftsmanship and design ideals of the British Arts & Crafts movement. Made from solid oak, the piece features hand-carved stylised tulip motifs, typical of the movement’s celebration of nature and handcrafted artistry. The overall piece is just wonderful to look at from every angle.
It is in wonderful vintage condition. Couple of bits to note re condition - the bottom right end drop is thinner than the right when looking face on. As it is at the bottom of the shelf and it is still intact in terms of shape, it is hard to notice. The piece overall has signs of age and use which is not unexpected. It is a clean, sturdy piece still.
