What a lovely foot stool. Upholstered in a quality rose and floral fabric, and the gorgeous wooden frame and original metal workings are superb. I think this is a 1950s stool originally - looks too old to be retro - more mid century, but probably updated fabric at some point. Could be a gout stool as it has a mechanism to enable to stool seat to be lifted up at various angles. Quite wonderful to be fair - I am just imagining sitting in front of the TV with my feet up. In very good vintage condition.
The floral fabric is vintage, not new, but in very good order. Please see photos. No significant marks or tears etc. The wooden frame and metal workings are also in vg order considering age, but the wood is marked and worn in places and the metal is tarnished. I have cleaned up the whole stool and I think it looks charming. It is not new and looks like a vintage piece, but it is completely solid, working and attractive. They just don't make them like they used to!
If you are after a vintage foot stool then this has to be a strong contender. Really lovely. Please see photos and video.
