8 'Subrino' Saracen King Sicilian Puppet Theatre 16th Century Soldier Sobrino Colour Print on Wood Silver Frame

Unusual and interesting colour print on wood of the medieval soldier King Subrino (aka Sobrino) taken from the Sicilian puppet theatre. These puppets were used to tell the stories of French paladins heroes. Sobrino becomes a Christian after his defeat at Lipadusa.

Silver wood frame, glazed with hard board back, it is ready to hang. The wooden print is close to very good condition, the frame in in good condition with a few small dents and wear marks.
