1970s retro Jersey Pottery large table lamp of a wide eyed boy character - delightful working condition

How lovely to find this retro vintage table lamp of wide yes boy character epitomised in Jersey Pottery. Delightful and endearing, and a trip down memory lane for many. In great condition . No chips or cracks. Some crazing to the glazing. Hand painted character. Large! Would advise getting wiring checked tested and or upgraded, as it still has the original wiring. The bayonet fitment has cardboard in it so I don't think this should remain. The on off mechanism is at the plug point. How lovely would this be with a large cream, brown, orange or yellow shade - or a combination thereof, could also take many different shade shapes - a round drum shape could look very good!
Maybe a perfect addition to a nursery or playroom?
