What an excellent print this would be for a food love, a kitchen or dining room or restaurant. Not only is it attractive as a picture, but also incredibly useful. Goes into great detail about which herbs go well with which dishes and which herbs can be used for various purposes. A little bit of table navigation and there you go! Bay leaf tea is good for Colic apparently, and chives, burnet, parsely and marjoram are all good for omelettes! Even the tiel "Herb Chart" is beautifully decorated with various visual depictions of different herbs.
The original print was presumably printed by H Dalton CLifford in the 1960s. However if you do research George Clifford III was a prolific and wealthy collector of plants and species, in particular herbs, in the early 1800s - a coincidence perhaps with the name of the printer?!
The print is in very good vintage condition, few minor marks. It is already framed in a fantastic cream, green and gold vintage frame - there is no glass. It is ready to hang. The print is a little loose and needs to be flattened by glass. The frame does have a few knocks and marls on it commensurate with age. It has a card backing.
