A striking and beautifully preserved 1930s Art Deco wall mirror with an elegant etched design and scalloped bevelled edges, capturing the timeless sophistication of the early to mid-century era. The mirror features a curved pine frame with a walnut veneer effect that brings warmth and texture, complementing the graceful Art Deco lines and giving the piece a refined retro charm. The etched decoration across the glass adds a subtle decorative flourish — elegant without being overstated — making this a standout mirror that will draw the eye in any room. It is in super condition and ready to display.

The mirror is securely mounted on its original backing board with round-headed covered screws, and the chain remains intact and strong for easy wall hanging. The bevelled glass is thick and beautifully shaped, catching the light at every angle, while the etched detail lends a sense of craftsmanship absent in modern reproductions. Areas of black spotting and mild silvering loss behind the glass are typical for its age and serve to enhance its authenticity and decorative appeal rather than detract from it — a true hallmark of a genuine vintage mirror that has lived gracefully for nearly a century.

THe condition of the mirror is really very good considering its age. It has character and patina to it. Yes the original vintage glass has some age marks incl spotting and fading, loss of silver, around the edges. There is also a splash to spotting acriss the middle. The bevelled scalloped edges are a true rare element for these mirrors and they bring such character to the mirror. The edges are a little rough on some, but nothing noticeable to the naked eye - the scallop look remains uncompromised. The veneer has signs of age but is in vg condition too.

This mirror’s size and understated luxury make it incredibly versatile. It looks stunning above a fireplace, in a hallway to add light and depth, over a dressing table, or as a feature in a sitting room or bedroom. The rich walnut tones blend beautifully with both period and modern interiors, softening minimalist spaces or complementing vintage furnishings with equal ease.

Unlike today’s lightweight, factory-made mirrors, this is a solid, well-constructed piece of English craftsmanship from the interwar years, designed to last and full of character. Every element — from the scalloped bevel to the gently aged glass and veneer finish — tells the story of genuine Art Deco artistry. A unique, elegant, and functional piece that brings true vintage glamour and authenticity to any home.
