1920s vintage chamber pot, indoor planter, plant pot, Moonlight ware, Shaw & Copestake cobalt blue black gold oriental hand painted (2 of 2)

This is a wonderfully bright and bold, blue chamber pot from 1920s. Originally had a very practical use, and still does today - although quite a different one! These pots, make outstanding indoor planters and vases. Great size for a medium indoor plant. This particular pot is attarctive in a very flamboyant and powerful way. Because of its colouring and pattern, it doesn't shy away from being bold. The scene is definitely oriental and it is handpainted. The black and gold is completely striking against the rich blue background. The condition is marvellous for something that is 100yrs old and was no doubt used. It is marked Made in England on the underside. Minor blemishes to the gilt detail partiuclarly on the top rim, some manufacturing marks, some crazing to the glazing, some blue is rubbed off on the handle, no chips or cracks. Please have a good look at photos and video to be sure of the item.

I have two of these should you be looking for a pair; as they are handpainted, there are minor differences in the finish.
