This is a truly wonderful original 1920s Medici Print with original frame and labelling. It is of The Age of Innocence, a wonderful example of Joshua Reynold's Romantic Sentimentalism painting. A depiction of a young girl in soft, romantic tones. It is delicate, detailed and delightful. And most importantly in excellent condition and in its original frame. A truly lovely early 20th century piece of collectible art, albeit a print.
The Medici society was founded in 1908 and set about printing copies of masterpieces for wider public consumption. They held a Royal Warrant and produced only high quality prints, especially in the earlier 1900s. They framed and labelled them and distributed them across the UK, and some of them to the USA.
This particular print has bene well looked after and remains very attractive and ready to display. It has a few signs of age and wear, but is overall in vgc. The frame is wooden with a gilt finish and it too has minor signs of age and wear. it is glazed and ready to hang.
A wonderful piece for a classical decor, a collector of masterpieces, a Medici fan.
