1900s solid oak bench, wooden luggage rack, shoe rack, antique bench

Magnificent solid oak wooden bench. Wonderful quality wood and sturdy piece. Has been made slightly lower at some point, and now serves well as a lower bench (for children) as a boot rack and luggage rack. Typical of the type of wooden benches found in gyms, old fashioned vintage changing rooms, boot rooms etc. Quality piece which is in vg vintage condition. Good size for a busy home.

Lovely rich dark brown, and lovely wood grain as becoming of oak. Slats along the top are affixed with nails to the lower frame. The wood is in fine condition. Yes there are signs of age and scuffs, marks, nicks etc, but this is a very old piece, possibly even an antique - think it is about 1920s/30s.

Perfect for us as a bench (be aware it is lower than usual), or as a luggage rack, a boot rack - somewhere to perch your boots when doing them up! a child's bench, or a fabulous plant rack for indoors or even outdoors (treatment may be needed). Versatile and yet so attractive. Could be a quirky addition.
